| Heralded a soft launch, the date commemorates Citadel
Holdings' first major I/T implementation in one of its major affiliate. The
implementation process started promptly in February 1999, with the training of its Project
Team members and the commissioning of CHI's Data Center at the MIASCOR Cargo Center. Acquired at a cost of more than Php10M, the system has resulted in some business re-engineering effort in the finance and treasury offices of MIASCOR. The system is expected to benefit the finance departments of our affiliates in terms of faster processing times of billing and invoices, real-time posting to the General Ledger, more focused monitoring of receivables and overall process efficiency that will translate to fewer labor-intensive operations. That latter will be felt in allowing our affiliates to process more transactions (i.e. more business) at either the same or lower number of staff positions. |
